Need help with K&N CAI inistall

I just got a CAI kit with the SCT tuner from brenspeed, the kit came with a bracket that mounts with the valve cover bolts. The bracket is just used for extra support for the middle of the inlet tube. I called brenspeed and they told me not to use that bracket because that bracket wont fit on the 07 GT. Has anyone installed the K&N on there GT?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I have an 07, with the K&N. I installed the bracket. If you take some washers and stack them on the lower? mount then it'll fit. But you probably don't need the support as the intake never touches it anyway.

I decided to call K&N today and there shipping me a new bracket and they dont even want the old one back.

Hmm, maybe i should give them a call and get the correct bracket also.

Do you have a specific number that you called?

I used the Valve cover bracket on my '05 GT and have had no problems with it in almost 2 years.

K&N tech people are really cool folks, helped me with another problem and shipped a part overnight no cost.
