need help with something stupidly small and easy ?

anyone know how to get the stock shift knob off ?


i tried "unscrewing" it but it just keeps turning and not getting looser ?


is there a bolt/nut/retaining clip/anything holding it on that i'm doing wrong ???

to the very front, almost at the bottom edge you will see a small hole. There is an Allen screw there that must be loosened before you can remove the knob.

I didn't have to loosen anything. Just peel the shift boot back and screw counter-clockwise. It takes a while but it will come off.
