Hey all...

We've got a new member of our houshold and I/we (Mrs. Daggar and I) are having great difficulty naming our newest child.

He's 2 months old now, head strong, intelligent, and loves to play. He's enamored with sleeping on my feet, (he'll come out of nowhere and lay across my feet if I'm standing still for even a moment). Mrs. Daggar says that he's a chewer. I think he's just a puppy and anything and everything at this point is potential fun for him (meaning that I don't think he's a chewer... he's just young).

He won't get into his bed to sleep unless he's allowed to first doze off on our bed. He seems to have bonded with the whole family but doesn't know his place in the pack just yet. None of his protective instincts have shown yet.

Anyway... he's a purebred Springer Spaniel. Mrs. Daggar names him "Daggar" from the start but it's just not sticking. It doesn't fit.

So....

I need help naming this puppy!

Here are a couple of pics of him. Post up a name you think would be good for him and what the reasoning is for that name. If you have questions that might help with your suggestions then be sure to ask them.

I'm not sure how just yet, but I'll come up with some way to reward whomever actually names the dog. Perhaps the Custom CT of your choice or whatever. No promises yet as I've not given that part much consideration yet.

Thanks,
Daggs

He responds to that already... the trouble is that the children will never be allowed to call him by name.

So far, I like Maximus the best of the suggestions. Maybe some of the old Roman names would be good?

Yellow dog is Maximoose...aka max or moose...he likes both. Black bastard Marshall, after marshal faulk of the rams...seems to enjoy marshmellow.

I have a few ideas: Eddie, Ranger, LoneStar, Hercules, Tiger. When I think of more I'll post them. Do any of these sound good?
