Need help with Trick Flow Rockers

I am installing the Trick Flow Street Heat assemble and I am upto the rockers. I am not understanding the directions on how to install them right. Can anyone lead me in the right direction on the easy way to install the new roller rockers?

hey, first off, you need to let me know what type or rockers your using. Im guessing you probally have stud mounts if your using alluminum heads? here is how i adjusted mine. Pull off the valve covers, get compression guage in the cylinder your adjusting. set the rocker up so it is just snug on the valve. then grab your pushrod and turn it with your fingers and tighten the rocker down until you start too feel a little drag on the pushrod. then go another quarter to half turn on the lock nut. then crank the motor over and see what the compression reads. then either back off or tighten until you see the compression at its highest point. I know that is a hard and long way to do it. but it will be perfect.---make sure you have all the rockers somewhat adjusted before you adjust any specific one.. so the don't fly off or bend something. or adjsut one at a time with the spark plugs out and only the rockers your adjusting on.

also...my crane rollers said something like...turn motor over until intake valve opens and then is almost closed.. adjust exhaust valve. then when exhaust just opens, adjust intake. maybe vise versa. Crane cams website has very good rocker arm install instructions on there website you can download.. download one for your style rocker, even though they might not be crane rollers, the generic adjusting specs will work. I will say though.. the reason I had to adjust my rockers the way I said up top, is because I used the generic adjusting specs and my cylinders had no compression.. because I had the heads surfaced, Im using different thickness gaskets etc.. and the were not closing. hope this helps.. I just saw nobody replied and thought I would at least give you something to try.. im sure someone else on here has a better or smarter way.!! goood luck.

When I did mine, I gave the nut a quarter turn after I couldnt spin the pushrod with my finger anymore, which is about 1/2 turn total after zero lash. Worked great for me. It sounds a little tricky when you're reading the dirctions but its not really that bad once you get the hang of it. Just be sure to get the locking capscrew things nice and tight so the rockers dont come loose down the road!

usually if either intake/exhaust is up all the way, I tighten then quarter tighten to be safe. I dunno, someone showed awhile back to bump the ignition selonoid until the rocker arm reached it's peak and then tighten
