What's up guys,

Well thanks to everybody for all the advise on my previous thread- The stang was overheating. Turns out it was a clogged radiator, out of the 20+ lines, only 5 were flowing freely. The rest were completely shut.

Well, I have a new problem.

My car is having some kind of power surge. It drives fine, but once in a while while I am at idle or low RPM's the radio will shut off and turn back on. At first I thought it was a loose radio wire, but now what it does is turn off the radio, the blinker will go crazy, the battery guage will go crazy and the RPM's will shoot up a little and then back down. Almost like a short, but throghout the whole power system.

What should I check?

It's very weird becuase it's not like a short on the dash, but on the whole car.

Please help!!!

P.S. I recently removed my diablo chip and reset the computer.

i would have the charging system checked first , incase its a short in the alternator of voltage regulator , which could also cause and engine surge problem , then go from there , make sure if its only doing this from time to time to have the test done while its screwing up .

Sometimes it's the simple things. Check to make sure you are getting good contact at your battery terminals and make sure no corrosion has traveled down the main power wire (happend to Moms '95 GT).

Good Luck and glad to hear your radiator is now unconstipated and flowing free again.

Check to make sure your battery and alternator are both working properly. As stated, check the connections on the battery. Would suck to buy a 50 dollar battery only to find that you had a loose ground.
