What would you guys do?
Try to get a 2012 or 2013 boss assuming they are ~40k or keep the 93. and throw 10-20k at it to make it whatever I want it to be?
To play both sides, I love everything I am hearing/seeing about the new Boss 302's. However 35 or 40k is a lot of money to drop on a car. I really dont like car payments. My truck is an 07 and almost paid for (~2k left) and I was looking forward to not having to make anymore payments. I also tend to really drive the piss out of cars. Im not the guy who babies cars and obsesses about paint flaws, perfect interiors, etc.
I am leaning towards keeping the 5.0 though. It has 186k miles on it and has a tired drivetrain so its due for an upgrade anyway. I've had this car since I was 18 (28 now) and used it as our getaway car when I got married this year so it means a lot to me. As you guys know though, foxes are getting older and take a lot of work to keep going. It needs things fixed/replaced on the interior, burns a little oil, overheats with the a/c on in the summer, has a small coolant leak from the heater core that causes me to refil the overflow tank twice a year. But, I've pretty much replaced the entire front suspension, painted the front bumper for the wedding (paint flaking) have 3.73s, new clutch, most of a 5 lug/rear disc brake swap in the garage and could easily get +400hp with a charger and hci swap.
I really enjoy driving the fox and am not sure I could part with it ever so I as shocking as it sounds, leaning towards keeping the fox and getting it where I've wanted it ever since I got the car 10 years ago. Any thoughts?
