Keep the fox!Take your month car payment you would have for the boss which would probably be between $600-$800 and drop that into the fox, hell maybe even get a new 5.0 crate motor to put in the fox.A $35,000 truck is a $675 note plus ins.I'm sure even full coverage ins on a fox will be way cheapier then the boss!peace

Wow found this old post after logging in for the first time in years. I still have the fox but I never really modded it. Started collecting parts in 2014 like NOS hatch 1/4 windows, differential, etc. but wife had twins in 2014 and all that came to an end.

Fast forward to today and I find myself contemplating a 2007 shelby gt500. I am shocked at the prices a 50k mile or so one goes for...low to mid 20k's. We now have 3 kids with a 4th on the way and financial situation has changed completely. Lets just say I worked two jobs for the past 4 years and don't make payments on anything.

This thread has me wanting to pull out the debit card and start ordering parts. Adding onto the house at the moment so I will have to wait until I can get the garage situated again.

Thanks for the welcome. Nice to seem some of the old faces around here still.

Had the car out yesterday for its yearly inspection and took a few photos. Hard to believe I have had this car for 18 years now.

Check out some of the old mods. I had issues with the TFI module going out every 6 months. The dynamod one has lasted about 15 years now with no issues.

Old school MAC equal length headers rusting away.

Also included my prized quarter windows. I think they are worth more than the car haha.

Car has 192k miles on it.

I finally mostly finished the addition on the house. Still some caulk and paint to finish up but got the CO so wifey is happy. Little man #4 showed up last week which means I am finally getting close to working on this thing again.

I took it to get it inspected yesterday and the guy calls me up and says I have some wheel play in the front and the wheel bearings need replacing. I told him he was an idiot as the timken bearings in there have less than 2000 miles on them. SMH.

Saw this Shelby the other day and while I've been looking for a red w/ white stripe one around here, starting to like this color combo.

Consulted my biggest little man (6 yrs old) on whether Dad should sell the green car and get a different, newer one. His response was "nah I like this one. Lets fix it up"

There you have it.

Need to get a build plan together but this will eventually be a full build; paint, baer brakes, new motor, trans, interior, etc.

First up is to install the 3.73 gears and new differential I have had for 10+ years sitting in the garage. Need to find all that stuff. Pinion seal is leaking pretty bad so now's as good a time as any.

Took inventory and here is what I have. I need to get a few more things for the gear install as I raided the kit years ago to replace some seals in the wifes old 02 gt
