331 DSS Motor - Long block is about $5500 Shipped
CNC Level 10 All forged light weight internals ~9:1 Blower Friendly
Junior Victor heads
high-flowing 210cc intake ports and .130" raised 75cc exhaust ports. Available with 60cc or 70cc combustion chambers
2.05" intake/1.60" exhaust
Performer 5.0 RPM II manifold

I will be switching too long tubes and I want to keep my prochamber which I might have to buy a new one if they cant cut the one for the shorty headers.

Cam? i want power to be between 1500-6500

This will be running through a lev 1 AODE race tranny, 2400 stall stage 1 TQ converter manual valve body. stall and TQ are bran new.

I will be having laracca performance in NJ doing the install as well as a full dyno tune w/chip.

Going to cost around 10k all said and done after extra parts/labor/dynotune

I have a Keith Craft 331 with AFR 185 heads and an RPM II intake. compression is 10:1. I have JBA shorty headers, mac h pipe and flows. I put down 320 hp and 338 lb tq at the wheels.

BLower will go one years from now if I am not satisfiyed with the power from the 331.

This will be a daily driver so I do need some low end power.

I would think a minimum of 310hp to the wheels with thoughs heads.

You are nuts for taking a 331 over a 347.

With that being said...

1.1 RWHP per cube is EASILY attainable for a 10:1 pump gas street car.

331 x 1.1 = 364.
347 x 1.1 = 381.

Joe

Preach it Brother Joe.........................................Preach it :rlaugh:

A 347 isn't going to make any more power. 331 and 347 are going to make the same power, because the bore is the same. The 347 is just going to make it at a lower RPM. That's why I got a 347. That's why 4.6s don't have any balls, cuz there's no frickin radius on the pistons.

10:1 compression isn't ideal for a blower.

What cam are you running?

Duh I should have included this little piece of important info before. I am running a comp cams xtreme energy hydro roller. The grind number is XE 274HR. Joe and his crew at Mustang Magic in Deer Park Long Island installed and tuned it.

Yeah i know 10k is alot to part with but i am getting everything done at once.

Motor 5500
motorswap 1500 - kinda exspensie
dyno tune / chip - 650
longtubes & mid pipe - 700
injectors - 400
MAF- 300
upeer & lower - 550
a few misc parts- $$$

There is really no way for me to do this any cheaper.

Even if a bought a turbo kit it would be on a motor with 96k miles which would still cost me 5k + dynno tune + install.

When I was looking at Coast High for a 347 fully loaded with blower and using the sportsman block, it was about 11K. This was over a year ago when I got my quote. They said it would easily put out 650 to 700HP.
