I am currently leasing a 2003 torchred V6 Vert and the least is up this April. I've had the car appraised at the dealership and there going to give me 12,000 for it so what im thinking of getting is an 06-07 GT coupe. Now im thinking of going Black exterior and possibly the red leather seats. Does ne one have that combo and if so who does it look? also does ne one have any suggestions for exhaust/intake combinations. I want a throaty classic mustang sound something that will scare little children and small animals.:flag:

I've had black. It is beautiful but also very hard to clean and to keep clean. That's why I now have a windveil blue Mustang. It's easy to keep clean and always looks clean even if it isn't. I also love the color.
I would say, though, get what you like the most.
I've also had several shades of red, (torch red is beautiful), white and mineral gray. About 15 Mustangs altogether.

if you have a lease, then you have to buy your lease and then you can trade it. otherwise, you just have to return the car. you can trade out of a lease, but they penalize you heavily. you need to find out the residual value of your lease, and then go from there. if the residual value is near the amount the dealer will give you for trade, just walk away from the car. if the residual value is more than what the dealer will give you, run away.

I'm with bigcat, how can the dealer give you anything for a leased car? The leasing company owns it, you don't. When you turn in a leased car you get nothing, you have no equity in it.

well what i have is not called a lease anymore its called a red carpet option meaning i am the title holder of the car. Also i know the dealer wont be giving me cash. What i meant was that i have spoken with a salesman at the dealership where i obtained the car and basically what he's telling me is he will accept my current car as a trade in and take 2000 off of my purchase of a new GT if i remain one of their customers, which i wont be im going to be going to a different dealership but thats a completely different story. Also does anyone know any sites where i can hear some exhaust soundclips. I used to go to a forum that had a ton of clips of different exhaust/intake combos but i cant find it anymore.

The RCO program is a baloon payment purchase made to look like a lease.

What is your baloon payment? Look at your last month's statement in the box labeled "Payoff Amount".

Until you pay that amount, Ford Credit owns your car. They are holding the title, not you because they have a 1st lein on it.

Also, your car may be appraised today at $12,000, but what will it be worth next April?

There was a guy at a Mustang show I was at in June. He has a black 05 GT. Spoiler delete, red interior had some 18" grey finish (anthricite?) wheels a Saleen blower and that was about it. A damn sharp car. I've had a bunch of cars with red interiors so I'm kinda off that right now but the black/red combo is pretty damn slick.

my payoff amount is $10,800

If your payoff as of today is $10,800 and as of today your dealer will give you $12,000 for it, that means you come out with only $1,200 as your net trade in on a new Mustang.

Of course come next April things will be different.
