Need Some Parts For My '99 Gt

I have a 1999 GT Coupe and I'd like to replace the original cover around the sides of the battery. The OEM one is now ripped and is showing the white and yellow foam.
I went to my local Ford dealer and they said they don't carry them anymore.
Does anyone know where i can get one for my battery?

Also looking for the Original OEM Ford Mustang GT bra. I had one in '99 but seemed to have misplaced it when I last moved. I'd really only like to purchase the hood piece alone if I could since I'm not a huge fan of the complete bra. The original Hood piece had the words Mustang GT in silver/gray & red.
Where can I get one...will buy complete 2 piece bra if I have to.

Thanks in advance.

Call a local salvage yard and see if there is a Mustang there. It seems I'm constantly visiting the local yard and finding good replacement parts. If that fails, you can try a Mustang specific salvage yard like MPS auto salvage (http://mpsautosalvage.com) however be prepared to pay a premium for their parts. They're much more expensive than the local wrecking yards.

Skip the bra, as all they do is scratch the paint and they look like dog chit. Lets see some pics of your car! :nice:

Thanks for the MPS Auto Salvage suggestion. I called but they don't have any of those battery covers that go around the side of the battery.
I also asked them about an ABS Module for my '99 GT w/Traction Control & they asked for some ungodly amount over $300 for a used part....screw that, I'll keep looking for one on e-bay OR if someone can let me know where I can find one that will work w/traction control and NOT over $100, please let me know.

Thanks,

Anyone know where I can pick up an ABS Module for a '99 GT w/Traction Control?
I'm not willing to spend $300 on a used part.

I also need the covering around the battery as it's ripping and I can see the yellow and white insulation that looks a lot like attic insulation as the outside black or dark charcoal gray covering is ripping?

Thanks in advance.

Why do you need an ABS module? Did you pull codes and verify it is the module that is actually bad?

Of course, parts in yards where you pick them yourself are much cheaper. I got a mustang ABS controller for my project car for $55 pulling it myself.

You are really concerned that much about the foam around the battery? You know they made cars successfully for many many years before putting that foam around the battery? It is just insulation to protect the battery from heat. Pretty much insulation will work. Go to home depot, take your pick, and cut to fit. I wouldn't worry about a few frayed strings though.

Thanks for the replies and advice guys....would like to see some more though.
I have a '99 GT Coupe and my ABS light has been on for years now on my dash as well as the traction control light being on stating that the traction control is now off. Well, being an original owner of my 3rd child, my 99 PONY, I want to get everything working and looking right now.
I want the ABS light to go off as well as the traction control light off NOT by taking out some bulbs to make it go away, BUT by correcting the problem. When I first had the lights come on, I took it to the dealer to evaluate and they said it was the sensor and that it would run me around $800 to repair. I said f@ck it, I'll just drive without ABS and traction control. Well now I'd like to fix the problem, and I don't want to spend $800-900 dollars NOR do I have that kind of money to spend on that.
Can it be that maybe the sensor is still good? I remember when I was showing the car often in some big Mustang shows, I had a friend help me and he cleaned the inside of my wheels and that's when the problem first started. Could he have done something on the inside of the wheels to make the 2 lights come on? Is there sensors or something that sends a signal to the main ABS module? I don't freakin know as I'm not mechanically inclined.
AS far as the battery insulation, I'd like to have it since I'm the original owner and I'd like to have everything that came w/the car from Ford and I plan on showing the car again.
I also don't like the complete bra set-up as it does harm the paint, but I do like the one that just is on the hood...it's not that big and it's sporty and comes off quickly.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and comments.
