my heater core had a real bad coolant leak so i went ahead and bypassed it with some curved hose. it seems to be working fine but i did still have to bend the hose to get it to fit on right. its not kinked real bad but i would like to find something that would fit a little better and be able to flow more coolant. is there anywhere where i might be able to find something that works better? i live in florida and summer is on its way and i want my engine to be running as cool as possible. thanks for the help.

correct me if im wrong but doesnt your heater core have something to do with your heat. your ac compressor it what u want to worry about. ive had my hc bypassed the same way as u have for a year and havent had any problems with it. i say just keep it that way untill summer is over and your goin to need heat.

Go to the hardware store and get a couple of copper elbows that will fit snugly inside your hoses. Solder them together to form a U shape and insert the ends into your hoses. Use hose clamps to secure them.

From personal experience fix it right. Go to the autoparts store get the heater core 18 bucks, take a day and fix it. I did. You can find instructions on the musclemustangsandfastfords.com web site just do a search "heater core" Good luck. Oh and if i can do it anybody can.
