Ok got the 88tc motor into my 87 notch. The car was running good until last night. Took the car out for a spin with the t3 on [was ihi]. As i was pulling out the driveway the motor started to hesitate so i gave a little gas and it ran fine. Now as i leave and get down the road it starts to hesitates and then it stops running. So i coast it off the road and try to turn the motor over but it wont start. As im looking under the hood at the motor i see that the timing belt snapped. Get back to the house and put a new belt on.
Heres where i get mad. Put all the timing marks as followed..
Cam notch is pointing at the middle of the marker,Aux is pointing at the inner fender[rotor is @4oclock and crank is TDC. When i start the car it seems as if it is only running on 3 cylinders. Fuel is fine and checked timing time after time. If you guys think im doing something wrong please tell me. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Nooo...the 2.3L is a non-interference motor. If the pistons had hit the valves, trust me, he woulda known it because there woulda been a hell of a bang and then lots of racket.

From the sound of it I think you may have gotten the distributor lined up wrong, but then I'm not sure. It's probably something spark related though.

Off a tooth? I dunno about that. I did the timing belt in my mustang once and accidentally installed it off one tooth (I guess it was retarded because the car had plenty of low end but no top end). Car ran fine though, but I went back and redid it and it was back to normal.
