Need tire sizes for 18 x 8 rims please.

I keep hearing that our dealership is going to close down, and i want to go ahead and get my tires while i still have a discount through tire rack.

The rims i got are 18 x 8. But i have no idea what size tires to begin looking at... I dont want alot of sidewall, but i dont want to ride on rubber bands either. These are just going to be my "nice" wheels, and ill get a different set of wheels for the track later on.

For an example..I know these are 17" rims but i think i want just a little less sidewall than this for clearance issues.

I run a 235/40 on these 18x8 with 25mm offset on the front. No issues at all with clearance up front. '94 spindles. I had rub issues with a 245/45/17 on 17x9 rims...

well that blue car has 17x9 wheels with 245/45 and 315/35 in the rear i think.

i would say with an 18x8 i would go with a 245/40 in front and back. ue can prolly do a 275/35 on the rear if ya want
