need wider rims.. any links????

well I have 17x8 rims on front and back now.. and I am losing grip with just the crate motor.. I am have 1000 miles on the new motor and plan on putting the Vortec on in late june, I really want to get some wider tires..

17X10.5 is what I am looking for in a Cobra or bullit style rim. anyone have any links to websites for these clone rims..

any help is appreciated

Or get the wheels you have now widen to 10"....also width won't help with traction so much as sidewall height and stiffense will, if you get a set of 16's or 15's out back with a nice soft tire you won't need anything wider....after all with a 9" slick the recorde for mustang is like a 1.5 60 ft time or somthign along those lines

I dont rember who did it but some one on here had the stock 17's widen to 10" about 8 months ago i am sure someone will remeber but you could probly find a shop in town that would do it....anyone who dose rim repair should be able to widen.
