Hey everyone!

I'm a newbie here, as well as being a mustang owner, so please forgive me if i sound like a neophyte at times...

I have a 87 Fox, with a E-303 302, T-5 trans, and detroit locked rear (3.73 i think). It's got Edelbrock everything; aluminium heads, intake, carb...

Here are my two issues.

When i get tho motor running up to 3500-3700, its vibrates a lot, which makes me hold back stepping on it even more. Someone told me that my problem might be that a have the wrong flywheel (maybe like a Fidenza (?) 20, instead of the proper 50 (for those cars\year).

Also, i find the car pretty hard to shift and especially downshift; it seems to me that you really have to be in the right range to be able to do it not anywhere near what my daily driver (import) does...is the clutch done?

Thanks for all your answers!

(Sorry if my wording may be lacking, i usually speak french...:canada:)

Check the harmonic balancer. On 5.0 Fords they seem to have a tendency to break the rubber that bonds the inner hub to the outer ring. This lets the outer ring slide or even spin, throwing things off balance.
