Why not sell them both, buy the Z06 and something more practical for a second vehicle? I mean...how many sports cars does one person need?

I think he already has another vehicle. Crown Vic or something.

Gary, I saw you ad in the 4sale section of MPH. Sad to see it as your cars are some of my favorite Stangs. At least you'll be replacing them with a Z06. I'd love to have one of those even though I'm a Ford guy.

Sell two Stangs and buy a vette? Yea hows about keeping one or the other and not buying a vette? And the more sports cars the better.

Because lets be frank....the Z06 is the far superior car to the SN95 Mustang, no matter how much power its making. He's obviously bored with driving around in the Mustang and after he replaces one of them with the Vette it going to feel like a total let down climbing back into the Stang, any way you slice it! Might as well stick with the one he'll enjoy driving the most and buy something completey different for his other vehicle. A Truck, an SUV, an econo box....whatever?

IMO......vettes are overrated.....i've driven many diff ones minus the '09.....and for the dollar amount invested.....hell i dunno.....just don't like corvettes..never have and never will.....but if thats what a guy wants......then the guy should have one! im poor so my junkstang makes me happy. I would kill to have a Ford GT tho.....or maybe a Ferarri 360.......

Gearbanger pretty much summed it up for me on his last post.

Also, the Vette isn't replacing both cars, just one. I'll still have two sports/performance cars. I already have a DD as well.

There's nothing overrated about a C6 z06. It's a totally another level above any mustang out there. That's the only Vette (besides ZR1 of course) I'd trade either mustang for.

In the end, I just want something new and fresh. Both my mustangs look alike and has similar mods. It was fun for a while, but I'm starting to agree with some ppl who thought it wasn't logical to have two of the same thing. I want two different cars, different colors, different everything now.

I say you add onto your garage, and create a new parking spot for this Z06 you speak of.

tbh I enjoyed my 03 Cobra vert more than my GT, even though it's slower. Hp isn't everything.

Yea... it really blows when your slower car ONLY has 624rwhp... what a boooore...

They just aren't for everyone. I'd driven a FRC and a LS3 Z51 for 3 days. Both were impressive as hell, but i'd never own one as a main car. Something that sees the garage a lot and has mods, it'd be perfect.

never said they were for everybody, just dissagree with "overrated". The c6z06 is not an overrated car. I wouldn't, and don't own a vette as a primary vehicle, though they do a good job as a daily driver if need be.

I drove a black/black C5 Z06 (Corsa catback, some sort of O/R pipe, and the Volant intake), and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. This was over a month ago. The car was something else, and I am going to own a Z after college, hopefully a C6.

OP, I can't knock your decision at all. While I wouldn't sell my car in order to replace it with a Vette, I would love to add one to my stable. You, on the other hand, have two very similar Mustangs, in which case I can understand your situation. Good luck!

BTW: You should go for a Viper GTS if possible.

Read the ad over at MPH as well and was surprised. Kinda sad, but I understand the need for fresh and new. Kinda in the same boat, with two similar cars but I haven't been able to pull the trigger on getting rid of either.

Love your choice. A Z06 will be very fun. Looking forward to that mod thread.

Good luck with the sale, I'll miss looking at them .. you took some great pics.

Im just not a vette guy....i am a firm believer in a chevy truck tho, and Pontiac cars......but don't get me started on the viper......i absolutely hate dodge products unless they contain a Cummins Diesel engine...and then....i still hate em, just not as bad.
