I just got back from my dealer. I ordered an 05 GT legend lime deluxe 5speed, no options, spoiler delete. He said he had a car like mine in his queue and that he would change the specs to mine. I got it in writing that if i dont get the car as a 05 model i get my 500 deposit back. Im from the St Louis region, my salesman said that the boss could pull a few strings and get me the car by july. Im a little leary, but what the heck do i have to lose?

Reading some of the posts. I have a couple of quesitons..

What is DORA?
On my build sheet it said Priorty Code 10.... is that good or bad? or does it mean anything at all?

Thanks!

You don't have anything to lose unless your order causes you to pass up a chance to buy a car like you want on a lot. If you can rescind your order whenever you want to buy off a lot (any lot), then you have nothing to lose. If you have all your eggs in this dealer's basket - then I think you have something to lose... you're out of the market - and most sources are saying the '05 GTs are sold out.

Good luck.

The problem with the St Louis area is there are NO coupes available at all. I dont want a vert. Acutally, there is one coupe that the dealer has marked up 6 grand.. no thanks..

Surely the dealer wouldnt go through all this trouble if he didnt think he could get it built for me, the leary part is that almost every other dealer in the St louis area said they are sold out on GT coupes..

Does anyone know if Priorty Code 10 on my sheet means anything?

My Priority Code is 40. I ordered under the X Plan. I don't know what the codes mean.

As far as deposits go, you can get your deposit back.

Well i would assume that 40 is better than 10 since its higher.

Im not getting too excited by all this..

Priority code 10 is the Highest a dealer can put on an order. 1 being the fastest.
if the dealer has a car in line and changes the order for you..it's yours if you can pay for it. Are you getting it for MSRP?

and as for the other guy who said his Priority was 40...thats behind all other orders from that dealer. but if it gets in line at the Plant they will build it.

Im paying MSRP 26,305 and he is giving me 9000 for an 03 focus zx5 at the time of delivery(guaranteed in writing), which is pretty good if u ask me. Not a bad deal in my book.

Im so excited, but dont want to get tooooo excited.. know what i mean.. like i said, hopefully its not BS, but he must have a good chance to get it for me to even accept the order in my book... if not the case.. its a waste of his time..

sounds like a real deal to me. i would think it will happen, and they did great on your trade also. the only thing that could go wrong is if your dealer cannot order any more and has taken you outr of the market. possible, but your deal sounds as good as it possibly can this late in the year.

good luck and congrats
