New 5.0 in a Old Fox??

I have no info, but Kurgan Motorsports has done it already. Maybe you could talk to them; they frequent various Mustang boards and seem to be helpful enough to approach.

On how much Fox-bodies weigh, I'm going off of memory, but a non A/C 87 coupe could be as light as 3080 lbs. Hatches added 70-80 lbs, and verts were something like 100 lbs heavier than that. Fully loaded verts were somewhat fat but certainly still less than 3400 lbs.

You can drop an easy 100lbs simply by draining the gas to 1/8 of a tank, and pulling out the spare tire.

I have no idea what the weight difference between the ol' 5.0 and the new one is, though. I can't imagine that the new one is lighter even despite the fact that it's made of aluminum.

Yea that's very true, but now that u mention it I saw a guy total his '11 last nite and well if the engine's fine and I can find it I'd love to strip that thing outta there n get it for a good deal

As terrible as this sounds, I am excited to see this happen through the natural process.... rubhands

I want one :D
