New Baer brakes, not working so well

I just had a new Baer brake system installed on my 93 LX, and let me tell you,, it is NO better than my stock brakes, in fact worse! I was then informed by the garage that installed them that I need to go thru the 'rotor seasoning' process as outlined on the Baer website. I have done this to no avail. The brakes still suck, although they are slightly better than before the seasoning process.

Has anyone else gone thru this? Will they become better as I continue to drive the car?? I can't even lock it up at highway speed. I spent $1300 on the brakes and they are no better than the stock system.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the kit came with a master cylinder, stainless braded hoses, calipers, slotted/drilled rotors.

As for the prop valve, I don't know if I would need that (then again, I don't claim to know much). If I stomp the brakes at 65 mph it does not lock up. The rear wheels have never locked or hinted to.

Does the pedal feel spongy? If it does, then you should probably try bleeding the system a couple more times. You may not have gotten all of the the air out. Especially if you can't even lock up the rear brakes.

Yeah theres definitally something wrong with the system, I remember following behind a 99 cobra with brembos on it, and we agreed before hand (we were on a cruise) that he would double tap the brakes before he got on them so I wouldnt rear end him lol.

If you mean the factory proportion valve, no. Not supposed to gut it unless you are installing another aftermarket prop valve,,, according to the Baer instructions.
not saying you're wrong, and since you did the install you have intrsuction in from of you, i'll say your right it's just that i thought i read somewhere that you need to is the only reason i suggested it.

I know mine weren't at all close to $1300  What system did you get? We are going to need some more info in order to help you. I am hoping you got the twin piston PBR calipers and 13" front rotors. Also, what MC are you using?

Correct. only the front brakes. Kit included:
13' slotted, drilled, zinc washed rotors, 4 pistion calipers, spindles, Master cylinder, braded hoses, and new lines. No Prop valve included. Just a front kit. Baer Track System.

??? 4 piston? if they are the PBR then they are twin piston. Did they give you a 2 or 3 port MC with it?
