new ball joints need grease??

i got new ball joints for my car. do i have to lube them before i install them? it came with a zirk fitting and the ball inside looks dry any its really tight...help please...

They are shipped dry. Install the grease fitting and fill them until you see grease coming out around the dust cover. They will still feel tight after they are greased, but don't worry aobut that.

I would grease them AFTER you install them. It will be far less messy that way.
