Well went to the the first night of races at the local track(Atlanta Dragway) boy was it packed, even got there early and only got 3 runs in...

1st run i won't mention, lets just say a new Z06 broke at the line and while the starter was messing w/ him and i was looking at the starter who never gave me any signs at all he just lites the tree and i don't see it until the last yellow came on and I messed 3rd gear...not a good start...

2nd
r/t -.036
60' 2.215
330 6.011
1/8 9.102
mph 79.54
1000 11.767
1/4 14.01
mph 100.28

3rd
r/t .013
60' 2.204 (first time i spun the bfg's w/ 20 psi)
330 5.914
1/8 8.971 (first sub 9 sec 1/8)
mph 80.48
1000 11.609
1/4 13.838 ( new best time by 1/100)
mph 100.97 (new best mph)

So i managed to improve just barely and picked up about 3/10's 0f a mph. I made no changes to the car since last time. By all accounts people said the track sucked...but i still improved ... I did notice that my best 60' so far was a 2.11 last year and only turned a 14.02 et so some more seat time helped i think as i really feel that i could be in the 13.5-6 range w/ a 2.0 or so 60 time. I was suprized that i got the tires to spin , even though they are small 215/60/14 they have good bite. I know the track was not good as i went w/ Vinyl66 who usually has 60's in the 1.7x range and last night never went under 2.0.
We got some good video, my favorite was the last race I happened to line up beside a new 07 Mustang Gt. I was able to tree him and never saw him again, he ran a 14.57 @100.67, I know those will run much faster but it felt dam good to beat him. So the night ended on a good note w/ no broken parts and made the 45 mile drive home ok..

Hey bro, long time no talk! Congrats on the new best times, thats really impressive. Just wanted to give you a brief update on where i have been and what i have been doing. Right now the car is getting a front disk brake kit installed with slotted rotors and I am adding line lock to that. I also got new rear leaf springs and all new rims 15 by 7 up front and 15 by 8 in the rear with 275 60 r15 tires in the back (11 inches wide) so hopefully I will have traction now hahaha...well i hope all is well, talk to you soon! Keep up the good work
