Just thought I'd report in on the new tires: These BFG KD's (see sig) are un-f'n-believable. No matter how hard I try to break these things free, I just can't. I'd have to do something REALLY scary/stupid to lose traction in a corner. This doesn't include wet traction, but you'd have to be dumb to try it that way anyhow. wow.

Good ta hear! I'm in the same boat with my Toyo Proxes 4--for the life of me, I can't get them to slip <knock on wood>. Each day coming & going to work, I take the corners just a *little* bit faster... sure is fun! I never knew how much I'd love the tires along with the new springs (Eibach Sportline kit). - Mega

Sweet.

Looks like I'll be getting these for sure now.

Where did you get them, and for how much?

Ready? $1400 on Tirerack.com. This did include shipping to Hawaii and 15 bucks installation per tire, so it'll be better for domestic shipping. Fun factor=worth every penny.

Which ones do you have??? I have the FZ4's and i hate them! My backend kicks out on the corners so easy. and rain please i can't break 50, and they are pretty freaking new. Needles to say i won't be getting them again.

I am looking at getting the KDW's or the P Zero Nero's. From what i have read in tireracks ratings.

BFG Comp T/A's, 315/35R17's, qty (2), out the door with cert's (cheap insurance)....$378. I'm not interested in taking corners faster every time I encounter them. I am interested in cutting my 60 ft's., and these tires are the ticket!

I don't have the FZ4's, I have the Proxy 4's (different models).

http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_lines/sports_car/proxes_4.html

I've only had them on for about 2k miles, but honestly, I never new driving was so good. Road noise--minimal. Traction--awesome, like glue. In the rain, I never drive like I do when it's dry but haven't had any traction problems. <shrug>

EDIT:
Here's where I got mine:

Read some user's comments here:
http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Toyo&tiremodel=Proxes+4

Hope that helps!

That's the trade off for good traction.

I just got the P zero neros for the back of mine (285/40X18) and they stick like glue. 10 times better than the stockers, and much better than the Kumhos I had before!
