New Brakes...pics...more problems

I installed these brakes today, they are some monsters, they look like they can stop a small train. But it turns out that now my front wheels dont fit they hit the rim by like 1/4 inch.

Can I use a small spacer, mayby even a little longer studs. Please help I would really like to keep the brakes and the wheels. thanks.

maximum motorsports sells nice wheel spacers...I needed them for my brakes, the 1/4" spacers dont need longer studs but any bigger spacers will need longer studs.

the body of the caliper hits the mesh of my wheels, as you can see my wheels in my sig

hey once you get those working and spaced right you need to post what you think about them.

i have been eye balling them but i dont know how much better they would be than the cobra break package.

the guy i bought them from is from this forum he had them on a fox. he said the "cobra brakes don't hold a candle to these". i think i believe him. i will let you know.

Could you grind some of the caliper off?

i am lok even considering that an option.

1. its quite a bit of material

2. they look pretty sick

the pics dont really do them justice cuz they have a little surface rust and are a bit dirty.

are you going from stock 1 piston calipers or some cobras?

i am going from a stock setup to these. altough on my stock setup i had x-drilled rotors and hawk pad with SS lines..So I really dont think these are going to be a huge difference.

OMG I love those brakes. A friend just put them on his '95. I haven't driven it, but he says they are AWESOME.

He is the pessimistic type, too. So when he says they are good, they are GOOD.


And even with those things done to your brakes in the past ... I think you WILL feel a nice improvement.

I run a mm 1/8" spacer in the front to help clear my brake cooling ducts. its ok to run upto a 1/4" on the stock studs.
