Hey guys

My friends is selling me is cam. its a Trick Flow TFS-51402000

I dont have much mod on the engine .. in fact I have nothing done on the engine.

So my question is .. will this cam will fit in my car

and what need to be change with it ? lifter and new spring ? something else

any part number for those ?
Eventualy I will go for head and intake .. I got to start somewhere and he is doing a good deal on the cam.

Thanks alot

Well the cam is good, it's the stage 1 cam. I have the stage 2 and it works very well for me. IF you're going to do the cam you might as well do it all at once, cylinder heads, intake manifold, rockers (pushrods if necessary) ARP hardware, new water pump, gasket set, headers etc.

DO not waster your time and money with just a cam swap, you will not notice a thing.

In fact if you want my most honest opinion, keep the stock cam (replace chain) and work towards saving for some decent heads and intake, rockers gasket kit etc.......then purchase a turbo kit. You will have a fast and reliable combo that will consistently vanquish foes while providing outstanding driveability. I WISH I had done this originally. Big cams and natural asperation is cool but not nearly as practical as boost

Just my .02

same thing as above.....because you might lose power without changing the heads...the cam might want to flow more than the heads are allowing. we need thumper in here

The stage 1 cam is a good cam, but you need to compliment it with good airflow. I've always been a big fan of dual pattern cams and the exhaust lift is well-proportionate to the intake. However, if you are getting a very good deal on this cam then you can go ahead and get it but you need to first solve your airflow problem with a better intake and better-flowing heads.

If he's giving you a good deal go ahead and get the cam but as the others were saying you should just wait until you do the heads and intake. I have the TFS Stage 1 in my car and that cam doesn't really pick up until about 3100 RPM. Without better heads and intake it could very well hurt your performance.

Stick with the advice of these guys, they know whats up.

The cam is about the last thing you should replace. With an almost stock motor it is possible that you could hurt more than you help.
