37k + another 20k markup, no thanks, I will pass. I’m happy with my 14k stang with 3k worth of mods that will probably keep up with that heavy car.

ya...I'm not sure displaying it next to an original Challenger was such a good idea...looks a lot less "cool" next to a truly cool car...

and 40grand, thanks. but no thanks

WTF was that? is it an auto and he was powerbraking? The old one looked badass compared to that.
Oh, and it's a SRT-8! not a challenger!

Pretty cool IMO. But 4100#s??? Production car couldnt weigh that much could it? Man whats wrong with Ford and Dodge! It seems only Chevy realizes that less weight = faster.

I dunno....other than the Vette, what performance car that GM makes right now is considered a "light weight"? Certainly not the GTO, and I'll bet post production stats of the new Camaro will put it right on par with the rest of them.

Well that is true...I was just thinking about how light the vette is vs any performance car Ford or Dodge makes. Fords boat GT500 and now a 4100# Charger....but the GTO does fit right in. Camaro is supposed to be 3800-3900#s as well.

Oh well I really dont mind....it just means they need to make more HP to be even with me . And their gas milage will suck as well....14/20 for the charger .

BTW GM probably does it so they can put teh "corvette" engine into the top models for marketing, but still come nowhere close to corvette performace so they dont get the vette owners angry. Im sure they werent too happy in 2002 with the 28K SS camaro was a nearly dead even race for the 45K C5 vette...I know I would be POd.

the corvette is a fiberglass 2 seater. It doesn't take extreme ingenuity to be light there.
