I replaced my cable because it was nearly impossible to get the car in gear. Now the pedal feels awesome, but the clutch engages too high, i think??? I used an OEM for racing replacement cable, is this how they are supposed to be? I can get used to it, just want to be sure everything is ok

did you adjust the cable??? on your model you have a self adjusting clutch assembly but to enguage the self adjusting mechanism you must grasp the pedal with your hand or place your foot under the pedal and pull up on the pedal until it stops. very little effort is required approx. 10 lbs of pull.. then depress pedal and listen for an audible click if you hear this sound the clutch was in need of adjustment and it has just adjusted itself.... this should be done or checked every 5000 miles...

Yes, that was the first thing i did after i put it in. I didnt hear anything when pressing it back down. I think it may be ok, im just used to an f-ed up pedal. It was bad since i got it 6 months ago, this is the first time the pedal feels ok.

no pulsating at all, very solid feel. Gear changes are extremely smooth, i never knew the car could shift like this....guess ill just get used to it, but im not complaining compared to what it was like before

The one thing to watch is that your clutch isnt slipping.

You can swap out the quadrant/pawl assembly for an aftermarket piece and a FWA (the latter for adjustments since you lose the stock adjustment mechanism). You can totally tailor the point of engagement with such a set-up.

Good luck.
