I gotta new clutch tob new fork except pivot ball and flywheel but now I’m getting a really bad chatter when pulling off from stop as I’m letting out the clutch it’s start to chatter like the car is about to fall apart and sometimes when I go to shift the clutch pedal gets stuck And will not let me clutch all the way in and won’t let me shift gears somebody help me figure the problem please cause it’s making wanna sell the car more and more

Just wondering.

Who did the work? Professional or DIY?

What model year Mustang are we dealing with?

Which clutch was used?

Was the flywheel resurfaced? If new was it cleaned before installation and of good quality?

Was a new pilot bearing installed?

Does the clutch pedal move freely or hard? What is the condition of the clutch cable itself?

Professional transmission shop did it and I have 2001 mustang gt and I’m not sure I forgot to ask what clutch they installed but it’s a racing clutch and same flywheel They resurfaced it new pilot bearing I installed my steeda clutch cable w firewall adjuster before I got the new clutch installed and the clutch is stiff I can clutch in but sometimes when getting ready to clutch to shift once press in the clutch it would get stuck and won’t let me get out gear to shift to another gear it once I get off the pedal it let’s back up normal just when I press it in it would get stuck

Is it still under warranty from the "professional shop," then I would make them fix it right. And the OEM Ford Cable is the best hands down. Racing Clutches are best for racing(they are designed to take abuse as their primary consideration), in my experience they can tend to chatter more easily. I am thinking it is going to need to be torn down to check everything to be sure, but I am/was a DIY'er.

Yeah I not to long got it done like 2 weeks ago I have a warranty on labor and clutch I told the shop that did it and he took it for a test drive and he said it feels like the flywheels and just bring it back when your ready and he would put a flywheel and warranty it out put a whole new clutch in it but yeah I heard oem clutch are the best to good what abt the firewall adjusters ? But the chatter is really bad I can’t deal with it

I went with the Aluminum Quadrant, stock Ford Cable and firewall adjuster(love this way to adjust vs climbing under the car) at the time and was happy with it for many years until I had to sell the cars(a 94 GT & 98 Cobra). I believe it was MMR & Firenza Parts.
You should not have to put up with chatter.
Good Luck and keep updating please.
