last time I went to the dyno I was running wayyyy rich...had a 10.9:1 a/f ratio at WOT and I put down 229/266...yesterday I went back to have the pull some fuel out of it and they figured they would in the process add 2 degrees of timing...so now running properly on the loaded MUSTANG dyno I put down 240 rwhp and 277 rwtq...not bad for my mods I would say... thanks chung for all your hard work!!

With fairly mild street cams, mileage really isn't that much of an issue. Long duration, high lift cams, by nature, tend to suck a certain amount of uncombusted fuel vapor out of the combustion chamber, especially with higher degrees of overlap. With most street cams (stage 1 TFS, FRPP E-cam, etc.) this is not an issue. I run the aformentioned trickflow and actually saw an improvement in my fuel economy when all was said and done. Jon- you have the X-cam, right? Yours definitely isn't one I would recommend for a more mild build with daily driver duty. However, it can be an excellent cam with the right combo. When do your heads go on?

dynoed at wide open performance...john lol I didn't know we were racing at first that was a really crappy launch for me dude...I don't think that really counted as a race cause you had misha in the car and I didn't launch...lol we will get a chance for a fair race one of these days man...

awesome that they found you a little extra hp/ torque in the tune.
11 hp and 11 ft lbs. You may get better gas mileage too, assuming you keep your foot out of it.

To be honest i really dont know what's in it? All i know is i start making power around 2500 or so and have gone to 5800 and still pulling? The heads and other stuff are going on tonight after i get in from work.... well i'll start the tear down and finish up tomorow! Yes you actually see inprovement's in fuel aconomy with doing H/C/I my buddy did it on a 83 or something full size chevy and he gained not only H.P and T.Q but also a couple more on the milage. It's just really efficent now!! But i'll be down to PIR when they open again to see what improvement's i made! Then i'll hit the dyno Why have you heard or seen my car? peace

mustang dyno @ matrix engineering ?
not bad... that dyno tends to read low compared to a dynojet.

yeah I was told by the tech to expect 10% more on a dynojet...with that in mind 260/300 on stock heads and cam on a dynojet would be pretty impressive I think...

Jon- I talked to you a year or so ago at starbucks when you had just purchased the car (I think). I have a memory like a steel trap. My car was never around last summer because I could not drive it (I had two fairly invasive leg surgeries), so you would not remember it. After I graduate from U of O tomorrow, I will be back up in the portland area to rejoin the Beaverton stangers.
