Just got back from the dyno with the new VT stage 1 cams. I went there with 257 HP 301 TQ. After some tunning my max HP was 275 and 295 TQ.

With the Nitrous i had 330 and 409 TQ with full bottle pressure and it was a 100 shot

This time it was a 125 shot with only 800 lbs of pressure which should be like 1000 or 1100 it put out 348 and 430TQ

Im happy with the new cam install i give them a

thanks. You want to know whats funny pete told me i would be lucky if i gained 10 hp from the cams but i surprised him. but im actully having some problems with n20. When i activate the switch my throttle is raising. pete did a data log on it and he sid it was sending voltage to the tps when i activated it. When he dynoed it with the n20 the rpms hung at 3000 so i got to call zex on monday.

Did you ever run it at the drags before the cams??? Curious to see what you did at the track, your torque was about 10 ft lbs higher than mine with the same mods before the cams.

the best i got at the drags was a 13.7 which im not good at driving. i went only on street night so that could be why. But the cams are a good mod. They are pretty easy to install too. I used the anderson tool. If you got some wrench or motor skills then its pretty easy. I have no idea what the stage 2 would put out but with the 1s you get some good power and without a spring install.

Exactly what I'm looking for, just cams for now. Did you look at the Anderson N-22 cams also? What made you decide to go with VT? I've been doing some research on this for the past week, so that's cool that you showed up on the dyno! When I see results like that, I'm sold on it. I don't trust any of the magazines or even web sites now when they do before and after dynos.

Thanks

Well when i was looking for cams i didnt know what to go with. I asked on here and the one that got me on the vts where HOTMUSTANG. He did a big write up of his cam swap. I almost was goign to get comp beacause of Vts back up orders. I placed my order in january and didnt recieve them untill begin of may. i would just stick with the stage 1. I havent seen any dyno #s before and after the 2s. I think with the 2a you will loose more low end torque. Since you drage race your more you need as much torque you can get the move these cars off the line.

I got a chance to see your before and after dyno numbers. Your dyno numbers before were pretty good. I had mine on the dyno today and came close to your hp number but couldn't touch your torque. If you've got a chance, check my webpage link from here and let me know what you have that's different. Unless you still have the same stuff in your sig. Thanks.

i looked at your garage and your exhaust is stock with weld in flowmasters. I think you need to change mid pipe and cat bad to 2 1/2 inch pipe. The flowmasters dont really give you any power i would go with the magnaflow.
I got a throttle body and the upper plenem.

I dont launch my car low in the RPM range anyway, and spend all my time racing above 4000.. why would low end tourge be a problem? Do you race at 2500rpm???
