Just wondering what you stock or stockish 99-04 GT drivers are getting for gas milage. I have been borrowing my Dads 02 GT and have gotten around 21mph with mixed city and highway. I also took it on road trip and it got 26mph on the highway!!! is this normal for the rest of you guys?

Most people will get 25-26 mpg on the highway with their stangs. Even with most bolt on mods

I dont have a GT but the 96 gets 25 on the highway and the 03 gets 24 if you dont breath on the loud pedal.

I just got back from driving about 400 miles of highway this weekend. I got 26mpg in a 97GT. With mostly city, I get 19-21mpg, depending on how much fun I have.

well before gears I got 280 miles to a tank in town, and 409 miles to a tank on the highway. just went to bowling green this weekend, and with the new 3.73's in, 109 miles up, 5 passes down the drag strip, 60 mile cruise down to Clarksville, and another 75 miles back to Spring Hill....I got 246.5 to the last tank, and the fuel light came on at 243. so not really sure yet what she'll get on a non-stop full trip on the highway, but I should find out later this month or early next month when I head up to KC to visit family.

Our old 03 gt my wife going 20 city and 25-26 hwy with 4.10s. She was easy on it though. If I drove it it would get 1-2 mpg less.

I get 23 mpg pretty much with every tank. I'm rarely on the interstate, it's mostly just 10 miles one way to work at 45-55 mph. My gears are the stock 3.27's and I have a manual tranny. I have a goal of averaging 25mpg. I plan on changing the fuel filter this week, I think it still has the original on it with 52k miles. I need to clean the K&N too. I've seafoamed once but it's been about 2 years, so I may do that too.

My 2004 got between 18 (warrior pattern) and 27 (miserly pattern), depending on trip style (hwy/city).

I do anywhere from 21-25 in a stock 04 Auto GT. I've yet to get an all highway reading, most are 70 percent highway 30 percent city.
