Broken Arrow, OK
I feel air coming out where the exhaust tubes connect to the X pipe Cats. I have the clamps on really tight but air is still escaping. Do I just need to install it again and shove the xpipe futher up to the header pipes or is a little air OK? Will this hurt performance?

Maybe try loosening the bolts up some and using a hammer to tap the flange around to get it seated better. Even if it doesn't hurt performance smelling the exhaust all the time wouldn't be much fun.

check the bolts and see if they are threaded all the way up to the head of the bolt , sometimes they give you shanked bolts that dont have threads all the way up and the nut will bottom out on the shank before it tightens the flanges up all the way ......you might have to go get some new bolts and bolt it up tighter , it should not leak if you do that .....

The connections are not flanged but they instead slipe in and have a clamp that secures it. The bolts have plenty of thread and there is only 1 bolt per side. I guess that I just need to slide the xpipe a little further onto the header pipes.
