I noticed that the Pypes mid-muffler setup is just a straight through mufflers with the over axle pipes and then the delete pipes. I also noticed on the Pypes website that you can purchase just the M-80 mufflers. I was thinking of adding those after my h-pipe and then clamping on some 2.5 turn downs. Just looking for some input on this setup. Check sig for mods.

i have been searching for an exhuast setup that i actually like since i got my car back in feb. it is tough since i think just about every exhust i hear just doesn't sound right. ( i blame it on the fact that my last car was an 04 gt that i loved the sound off) these s197 just don't sound the same. I am thinking that a midmuffler setup would sound alot better, but not really sure. I think dumps would sound good but it will be very loud in car, if you are ok with that i say go for it.

at least the setup only costs about 110 bucks.

for $110 you can always take it out if you don't like.

I will come up with something, I will at least post pics before I post the exhaust sound. Even good clips on the internet aren't always a good representation of the real sound. I was planning on the clamping the Pypes M-80 mufflers to the pipes coming off of the JBA H-pipe first. See how that sounds and then clamping on some 2.5inch turn-downs from the Pypes M-80 mufflers. You could accually make your own mid-muffler system with buying the whole system. All the Pyps mid muffler system is, is the M-80 mufflers and the Pypes muffler deletes. You would have to do some cutting on the factory over-axle pipes. The m-80 muffler are approx. $45 and the muffler deletes are 189.00 from brenpeed. I know that it only saves you like 20 bucks if you piece the system together, but it does give you more options and flexibility.
