EBrock 6037 1.90/1.60 is the head at discussion

Well I ended taking the heads in to get ported after I blew a HG. Anyways the car was running pretty strong before the HG went...11's on the brakes at Speedworld. Anyhow I was just gonna get them checked at first but the guy cut me a good deal on the port work.
The heads flowed 221/168 @.500 when I gave them to him. I almost died considering thats some ****ty ass flow! Well come to find that all of my exh. valves were "tuliped", spring pressure was bad, and the springs were starting to cut into the heads....whoa!
Any how got my new flow #'s last night and was much happier
250/198 @.500 thats not to bad for a 1.90 head! I'm thinking it should be a noticable diff, and wanted to get some opinions from you guys.

Thanks
Chris

A AFR 185 outta the box flows 267/185...so I guess my lil ported Ebrocks are just now getting up to snuff with a AFR head....just not in the budget right now...one day some AFR 205's will sit atop the 331!!
Not to bad for a lil 1.90 head.

Those are great numbers. They actually rival the AFR head, but the AFRs flow those numbers at .550" lift. What size bore were the flowed on? What are the port cc's on them? 170cc? Did he roll the bowls at all? Valve job? What kind of work as done to them? Those heads should kick ass now. What kind of cam are you running/going to be running with these?

Joe

As for the new specs on the heads, he will give me that once he is done.
He just called me to tell me the new flow #'s, and to tell me about my valves being f'd.
But a 3 angle valve job is being done as well...I almost had 2.02's put in, but I don't wanna wrap to much into these heads since I know down the road I will sell them.
I'll let you know all the #'s when I get them. Thanks man
Makes me pretty happy!

A Machineist/PSCA Racer...but the guy is prior military so he hooked me up

250$ for all the port work, Valve job, shim the springs, re-cut O-rings, make sure their straight, and flow them
