While this is becoming more the norm these days, there were several months between late 04 (when the S197 came out) and now that that was not the case. In fact, I stopped subscribing to both MMFF and 5.0 in 07 for just that reason. When Modified Mustangs went "classic", right after I had reupped for a 3 year subscription, I was given the opportunity to transfer that subscription over to MMFF and have been pleasantly surprised that Fox content is somewhat on the rise. HOWEVER, S197 coverage dominates in both of those titles and 90% of the advertisements are for new S197 parts. Since the people building the parts for the new cars are the ones paying the bills, I understand why they get most of the articles. That said, 50Resto, Fox Mustang Restoration, NPD and a bunch of other companies keep coming out with new stuff and I'd like to hear about it when it hits the market.
I'm excited to see what Patterson does with this title and you should be too. A magazine like this will generate more interest in the cars we all enjoy and may result in companies making more and better products for them if they see that fan base is there to support them.
