New guy finally got the Stang he wanted!!!

Ok, i got her home this weekend. Thanks to a $100 tow. i noticed it has a Magnaflow cat back system in all stainless.. I love the 2" eibach drop springs> it makes it look sick..

Got my hood and tail lights on. Washed and cleaned up outside and under hood. Put in new battery,spark plugs and plug wires. Put some alcohol in the tank, gas treatment and 10gallons of supreme. It cranked right up too. Ran fine for about an hour then got a check engine light and now it almost dies when you put it in gear and sometimes does..

I am going today and having the motor oil changed (I have a engine cleaner additive in it right now), transmission flushed and radiator flushed.

The power steering pump is whining and barely works. It full of nasty looking fluid. What to do besides replace it?

When i bought the car the guy said the trans was slipping in first gear only

But its not slipping its just very slugish in 1st gear. i think the converter is staying locked up and thats why it dies in first and I have the check engine light.:dunno

what you guys think?

Oh and will 275/40ZR17 tires fit in the back with these bullets and not rub?

I would like to add that I am more in love with this car then any other vehicle I have owned(37 total). I went pic crazy with the camera so I am gonna whore out a bunch of pics ..LOL

I had 5 people ask me if i wanted to sell it yesterday> all within about 1 hour of finishing her up..

I am adding a battery kill switch that has a key today. My only other fool proof antitheft idea is get a detachable steering wheel but what about my cruise control?

I had it towed cause he said the trans was slipping so I didnt want to chance the 30 mile drive home.

i have been driving it all day and no issues as of yet. the check engine light is off now too, so its all good..

Na, just love to fix up cars.. I have had most of those from 15 to 25 yrs old. Since I have been married the last 6 years and being 30, wife has had me keep it down to 5 vehicles..

i got a pair of BF goodrich G-Force ZR17 255/45 for the rear.(needed to pass inspection today). New for $170 installed.. Honestly they are too tall for my taste.. Probably gonna try the 275/40 this week and try to sell these..

I am gonna stop telling people what i paid for this thing.. maybe they will stop trying to buy it..

This thing has already gotten me in trouble with the wife cause she found old old photos of me and my ex sitting on her 99 GT thats the same color.. That took some talkin to convince her Thats not why i wanted it.. LOL

I will be 31 this year..hopefully i will not add to many more cars to my list of being owned..

Ok now, first things first.. the slugish 1st gear.. Seems like the converter is staying locked up. It will die when u put it in gear sometimes.. No check engine light or codes being thrown...What could be the deal?

2nd: I am fixing my rear tire issue soon.. i am gonna order the 17x10.5 bullits for the back.. i was considering the 17x9 but I cant see any visible difference between them and the factory 8" wheels outer lip...
