New Guy here with a 66 coupe

hi all my name is justin and i have a 66 coupe with an Inline 6 that i have modified som wut it has a mid range cam, oversized valves, roller rockers, stiffer valve springs, headers and true dual exhaust with flowmaster 40's
and as soon as it comes out and i have the money and aluminum head with an intake for an m90 blower

so wut do yall think of my unique setup

Well justin first off im glad ya made it over here....secondly, you hav a "header"....and you cant have a "true dual" exhaust......C'mon bro havent i tought you well enough yet? lol



Folks his car sounds just plain sick for a I6.....the first time i heard it i honestly thought it was a V8 (at idle)

well sorry ben i have a header but i do have true dual exhaust seeing as i have to y-pipe splitting it to the dual exhaust ei. i have a dual out header

and ben do u have anymore handmedown parts that would work on my 6

Welcome! It is nice to see someone using the I6 and trying to go fast. I applaude your efforts.
If you haven't already, check out the March issue of Car Craft with the Falcon running an I6 and a turbo. He hit 11.85 @ 110. Sweet looking car too.

Take it to the nearest strip to get some times so you can be even more proud of your accomplishments later on.

i actually know the owners of that falcon from another forum im on that is dedicated to ford I6's and yes that is one badass ride and they will be goin faster as soon as the new aluminum head comes out

Did you build the engine with Fordsixparts to get the car started, or did you add them to the running engine as upgrades?

I remember driving my '66 200 in High School. I never ran the air cause it would make the car INSANELY slow. I also got a ricer fly-by from a Z24, but couldn't cath him when I tried .
But no one at school knew how slow it was, cause I could always break the rear end loose when leaving campus.

i rebuilt the motor with parts from FSPP all at once when i was 15 during christmas break last year and that was after only driving the car once before and it was also my first time ever driving a stick and it had the horrible unsynchroed 3spd tranny in it then but now it has a t-5 5spd
and no1 at school knows how slow my car is either mainly cause of the exhaust sound and the bigger tires out back and the fact that somtimes afterschool and after the cop leaves i do small burnouts in the parking lot for the fun of it

as for pics i dont know how to post any and i dont have any good ones but i know ben has a couple from som meets we did with TBM and maybe he can post som up

thanks, yeah, i would love that...i think its great that we are so young and yet have such a passion for these cars, im only 21, and i know mustangman70 is only 19, i can judge u are of similar age...if you would be kind enough to get me the info as to when you guys are gonna be down here for that meet, that would be greatly appreciated, i would love to meet up with you guys, and talk cars!!! :SNSign:

yea im of similar age im only 16(but only for another 2 months) and mustnagman70 is now 20 his b-day was either yesterday or the day before
