looking at getting a set of world aluminum 64 cc heasd(should I go with the 58?). Are World heads any good? I am looking for a lower cost performance head. Don't feel like dishing out 2x as much for a set of tfs's.

Are you planning on staying N/A or go with a turbo/supercharger? if you are going to staying N/A go with the 58cc.

Im not up on World but I know they use Manley valves from the factory (mine did anyway). I have World Windsor Jr. heads, just cast iron but i like them. I dont no much about them, I just know mine is like a step up from GT40s. I got mine for a couple hundred bucks used though. and i would go with the 58cc if ur going n/a too

ya I am staying NA. I can order the aluminum heads complete for about $700(or about $900 Canadian). That is a lot cheaper then the 1500 the tfs heads cost here, bare!

I am going to be changeing the rocker cover gaskets so I figured I might as well do the head, water pump and intake gaskets while I am at it. Then I figured if I am doing the head gaskets, why not get new heads? Saying that I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for them. I am not all that concerned about going fast, if I wana go fast I can take my bike out!

Im in toronto...

I just go to the US, the price difference after exchange is phoenominal! I remember I bought an msd box while in the US one day(msd 6a) cost me $120 or about 180 with exchange. The same box here was going for $300.

A good set of heads for $900 after exchange and all works out to 1300 or so. 1300 for a used set of heads that I don't know how they have been treated or if they are any good.

I could buy the set of Aluminum heads, complete, and new, and pay $800. But again, I havn't heard many reviews on World heads.

But again, I built this car myself, that is the only reason I am keeping it. I would like to make it a little quicker but as I said if I want to go fast I jump on my bike. So I don't care about spending an arm and a leg on a set of heads...especially used ones.

Well thats just it, if you read his post he said he got his brand new for $850. If you are not into going that fast, but want something a bit faster, have your stock ones ported and save yourself alot of money. If you want aluminum heads, wait a bit and buy the TFS's on Ebay or from a private seller here on stangnet. That is what I did and I got them NIB for a darn good price with the upgraded springs! $50 more to go with a set of heads you have heard good reviews from, and you know is one of the best on the market... I say have a bit of patience or have the stock ones ported. Have fun!

I was planning on using the stock heads to learn how to port...

I am skepitcle about buying things on Ebay, or from a msg board. Not saying that the people of this and similar sites are dishonest, but you always have a few bad apples. I have heard good things about buying things on ebay, but I have also heard bad. One girl I know was ripped off for $500. How do I know that won't happen to me?

Then you have the shipping issues. A lot of ebay sellers will not ship to Canada.

True but it never hurts to try. One thing I was going to do with a seller from the msg board here on a set of heads was COD. If the seller wants it sold they will do it. Shipping can be kind of a pain, but there is ways to make it easier. Everything gets shipped, so you just have to find the easiest way! Just a few suggestions. Hope this helps!
