got it from a guy that followed me home one day because he liked my car. we BSed about mustangs for a while and i told him about cutting a hole in my hood for my blower. he said he had a spare stock one if i didnt want to use mine and hed sell it to me for $60, guess i was lucky to have been in the right place at the right time, cause a week later WHAM my hood flies up.

sorry about the phone pics...tomorrow ill have better ones. its already sprayed black but the pic i took didnt turn out. and as of now its still taped off.
me and my buddy tom decided to paint the decal on it instead of buying it.

we found a pic of the GT and printed it out then cut it out to make a stencil, then took some masking tape and layed it over wax paper and cut the GT out. it turned out perfect.

it was gay, right after we cleared it. it started sprinkling outside  it only sprinkled for 2 minutes!! WTF!! it has a little orange peel and the clear can be wet sanded and buffed. but im probably just not gonna worry about it until after the hole is cut for the blower.

What method did you use to paint it? Compressor/paint gun? What type of paint? Im assuming you clear shot it? More info! :fuss: Looks GREAT BTW :nice:
sorry...lol

used a gun (suction) its just cheap black paint from murays, the grey is actually primer. i taped off what i didnt want black. the GT was the hardest to do. i found one i liked then printed it out. then cut it out with a razor blade and a straight edge. now i had a stencil. then i took some wax paper and layed some tape over it so it wouldnt stick. then taped the stencil over the wax paper/tape and did the same process with the razor blade. peeled the tape off the wax paper and had a perfect GT. after it dried the whole hood got wet sanded then 2 coats of dupont clear. i havnt wet sanded or buffed the clear yet.
