New Intake Time: Cobra to Typhoon?

I currently have a 93 Cobra Intake on my 91. I got a little over zealous putting the fittings in and caused 2 small hairline cracks. I sealed both of those and later blew a head gasket.

It time for new head gaskets and I was thinking of replacing the intake while I was in there. I am looking at the PP Typhoon and was wondering if I will see any difference.

The Intake needs to be replaced anyway so its not a matter of just swaping for a performance gain and I really want to avoid the Made in China political debate.

Just a simple question. Should I find another Cobra Upper or will the Typhoon work well with my application?

Mods are:

AOD with Lentech Street Term VB and Off brand 2800 stall
4.10's
BBK 1 5/8 shorties UPR o/r X

So what do ya think?

I'd think a Tmoss ported stocker might work well there...probably better and cheaper than the cobra to replace (could get your current intake welded MUCH cheaper than replacing). Typhoon is a little big for your current parts IMO and may flatten out the lower range a tad..in exchange for a little bit up top, but likely not enough to notice. My #1 choice would be the GT40 for your car.
