Hey dudes, have you seen this? I didn't know and still don't know anything about it. I have been wondering which to go with, now I see this. I'll wait and see it tested in one of the several mags I subscribe to, but let me know what you think. Also, what good shops are there on the east coast? I'm in Portland Maine. I will probably wait till next spring, as my super charger or new truck fund just went into a new flippin septic system.
thanks dudes (and dudettes to be pc)

They are selling upgrades for the regular kits also. The mammoth kit has better intake tube and manifold. You will need a forged bottom end for that kit, as it will put you way over 500 RWHP.

ok, this is what I was wondering. I thought it would need a beefier bottom end, they seem to imply that you wouldn't need it. I am really not having fun picking up a super charger...way too many choices. I am between the whipple and kenne bell, I have heard great things about both of them.
Thanks,
Doc

I know blow by racing put the mammoth, 2.8L blower, on a forged stroker with ported heads and cams. With a 2 1/2" exhaust and a ford 9" rear end they made something like 750 RWHP at 17 PSI, though they did have to rev it to 7k to get those numbers.

Last year I went with the Whipple HO on my stock 4.6. It's lots of fun but, I've just ordered a forged stroker with Stage III CNC ported heads, oversized SS/Inconel valves, hi-perf valve springs, Comp stage II blower grind cams, Kooks headers and X-pipe, Steeda 10-rib blower drive, 16 psi pulley, Whipple ported intake elbow and Whipple monoblade throttle body.

We'll see what kind of HP this setup will make in about a month. I'm also changing the driveline to a McLeod Street Twin clutch, Tremec TR-6060 six-speed tranny, aluminum 1-piece driveshaft, 3.73 gears, carbon fibre trac loc clutches, and adding a diff girdle.

I'm upgrading the suspension to Steeda pieces with Tokico D-Specs and the brakes to Baer 14" rotors with 6-piston calipers.

When all the parts arrive, I'll do a build thread with pics etc. It's going to be an interesting month.

Man, I wish I could pi$$ away that kinda coin on my ride. If you don't mind me asking: WTF do you do for a living to afford all of that??? :hail2:
