I would really like to see some New Generation Mustang wheels on classic mustangs (preferbly on a 65-66 coupe) I'm considering buying some of the 16 inch 05 V6 wheels for my '66 and would just like to see what other people have being doing with their stangs. Thanks

If by new generation you mean the SN197 bodies, I do not know of anyone that has done this yet, offsets are metric now

If you mean SN95 series then there are hundreds. I just put these rotors/calipers on mine, picture is from yesterday.

The car is a work-in-progess, there are many pictures on my website (link in sig). The wheels look great with the 13-inch rotors, I had factory power discs in there before and they looked like they came off a Honduh or something. You can see the difference here:

If so how pleased are you with it? clear concise directions? simple install??

Yes that's the kit.

Too early to say, I've done a test fit and had an issue, sent Steve an email and posted on his BBS. I have no reply from him but it has not been 24 hours yet and he just finished that big party yesterday, so I'll cut a ton of slack there

There were no directions whatsoever, but all I bought from Steve were the adapter plates. They came with a bag of hardware too. I bought the calipers and rotors over a year ago when another guy here was planning on making a similar bracket. The spindles I bought were for a '71 drum car, the shaft the wheel/brake assembly mounts to was the largest/strongest ever made for a Mustang. Someone told me that I could probably get a set of '71 drum bearings and that they'll fit the '67 hub since the OD did not change only the ID. Anyone here have an opinion on that? The '67 inner-bearings will NOT seat all the way down on the 71 spindle although the outer bearings are interchangeable.

Install was brain-dead simple, but I'm only 95% sure I did it right, so take that with a grain of salt. There really was little other choice for the install though, there's a sizeable "notch" on the other side of the bracket (http://www.edbert.net/images/2005/brakes2.jpg), very near the hole in the 2:00 position. This notch fit VERY tightly (good) around the boss for that hole on the spindle. I can see no other way the bracket could have been positioned.

Also I should mention...after getting a close-up look at the factory power disc bracket I can only say that Steve's bracket is much beefier.

So you changed your spindles???

That in turn changed the geometry of your suspension??

What was the reason for the chage? Wer you worried about stress and breaking the spindle?

The spindles on the car are OEM for my car (67 power discs), I have another set of spindles that are a direct fit externally (no geometry change) but have a beefier shaft for the bearings/wheel. There is some body of opinion that the 65-69 spindles were too weak, that WOULD explain why FoMoCo switched to a larger version in the latter years. I'm going to see if I can buy a set of bearings for the '70 spindles and the 67 hubs. If I can find that part off the shelf I'll use the bugger spindles, if not I'll stick with the 67s.
