New Paint......how long before I can wax?

I was in a fender bender a while back and had pretty much the whole front end of my car repainted about 1-2 months ago. I have always heard not to wax new paint right away but am not totally sure on this.......

How long is safe enough after a new paint job before I can wax? I hate my car being in the hot sun w/out a good coat of wax on it!

When mine got repainted, I gave it about a week and it was A-OK. I've heard the same thing about not waxing right away, but I don't think it's too big a deal. I could be wrong though.

30-60 days before you wax, so you are safe to seal it!!

24 hours before washing and 30 days before waxing.

You need to give the solvents in the paint enough time to evaporate into the air as part of the curing process. 30-60 days is a general rule of thumb but I would really stress that you should be asking the shop that painted the car. None of us are going pay to repaint your car if you mess it up
