Have none of you read his previous post and thought about it? He said he has an oem 03/04 cobra rear bumper. Those bumpers sell for a good amount of money if in good condition. He also said he keeps other body parts laying around his garage so that if he gets tired of a certain look, he can change it up. So why would he want to ruin an OEM bumper by filling in the letters? If he decided to sell it one day, he will be able to sell it easier for more money if the letters are not filled in.

I don't really feel that's true. 03/04 bumpers aren't that hard to come by, but one that has custom work done to it that may apply to a different crowd could be worth the same or more. I know if I was in the market I'd pay for one already filled in where all I had to do was paint it and slap it on my GT.

I still don't get all the parts though lol I've never looked at my car and said man I'm tired of this look, let's rip body panels off.

I got to that point haha. That's what makes modding cars so much fun. In regards to filling in the cobra letters, if its not done right though it won't be pretty if if starts coming off. Also I have heard even if someone bumped the rear bumper and they just used filler that they could come loose and so you could have some letters reappear. What I want to do eventually with the rear bumper is get a cobra (probably 1 just from ABC exclusive) and find a 6er rear bumper as well and cut and paste the mustang lettering onto the cobra bumper. It would be that 'custom' touch but I wonder how well someone can get the plastic to hold together. Even though I have cobra/roush parts on it right now, I won't ever say its something its not, period. Well I guess if I got a 2.6 KB that might change slightly

Yeah I honestly don't think I would go through that kind of trouble just to put a Cobra bumper on. I'm happy with the GT one. If you get that accomplished though I will definitely be curious to see the turnout.

As for your Sonic Blue GT. There is nothing you can do to a Sonic Blue GT to make it anything less than awesome. As much as I love my Torch Red said:
Yeah Sonic Blue looks awesome. My gunmetal grey is so common.

Mazen while I agree its sweet, if you wern't able to see the posts at SVTP he bent the exhaust pipes from the SRA to look similar to the IRS setup and the 'Cobra' area on the rear bumper was painted with MSpaint. I kinda wonder if this is his car, seems like it is but he just seems to post pictures of the car and no motor shots on either site.

offtopic but wasn't there someone earlier this year who posted their 'car' and it wasn't theirs? Maybe that was on SVTP I dunno just sounds like it happened.

^This. The ABC bumper is filled and no side markers which would really compliment the shaved clean look the rest of the car has going for it. Who knows maybe the op doesnt know the make them .

On a local form, a guy was talking about how badass his GT is. He was saying how it had a Kenne Bell'd 04 cobra long block, viper spec T56, and fully built IRS. He posted pictures of under the hood (without being able to see the outside of the car), and some exterior pictures. It was funny because you could see the tail pipes were bent for a SRA in the pictures, and he was running a stock hood, while the car in the picture had a stock 03/04 cobra hood on it (could see the heat extractor vents in the picture). It was funny. He still gets made fun of for that.

I can't remember and I am not claiming the OP is such, but I also bet it has been done before by people posting a car that is not theirs for what, internet fame? Like I said it sounds familar but I don't think I could find the forum/thread for it.

The OP seems to not want to post engine pictures for some reason, I guess we won't ever know but when you have a post that says a COMPLETE modded car you would think you could at least list the parts and then shoot a crappy cell phone pic.

GT owners need to stop being so hostile.... Simply put, COBRA parts were meant for the COBRA and GT for the GT, get over it. Real svt owners are sick of being asked if their cobras are real or not due to posers out there slapping on cobra aesthetics.

Anyway... a little back story on the original poster(he posts pics of his car everywhere, it gets old). I am sure you will find this interesting..

Read through, trust me lol.

dude, you put me in some inception limbo dance haha. i went from here to two other threads on the svt forum then to his facebook page, and i seriously lost track of how i nearly got there.....and yes, i read both freaking threads, including this one.

but now the real question, do cobra owners look down on us? i mean, i LOVE cobras, i saw one today and was blown away buy it and it was STOCK!!!! but i mean, do cobra owners really get annoyed when we use their body parts? i understand the badges and what not, i would NEVER put a cobra badge on my gt, but, are they really annoyed of us using their parts? btw, i do not have anything off a cobra....not because i dont want to, but, because , im happy with my car the way it is.....im gonna start another thread lol.
