I'm not going to get her painted until I buy a house (still on original paint) because I won't be able to sleep at nights knowing my car will be outside with an expensive paint job lol I'm going to weld up the engine bay holes soon and install the tubular k-member...

thanks it was a pita... the harness runs inside the cab and inside the fenders. I had to extend the engine harness and whatnot.

I'd wait a while before cutting those springs if they are new. They will settle in a little bit, and may be just right.

the springs are used Eibach Sportlines lol The car should be lower I think? Well after I get the k-member in, I'll know if I should cut them or not. I want to fill in the engine bay holes ASAP.

So you cut the whole harness? Just to hide them? So in about 2 years after all the water in the frenders and dirt, its just going to get messed up. It looks nice, but for all the pain I wouldn't do it.

ummm no, it won't get messed up... I put about 50 hours of work into this. The only bad thing about it is the extended time it will take to replace the starter solenoid, MAF sensor, etc... other than that wires are protected and aren't exposed to dirt, oil, water as much as if they were in the original location. Salt + pepper connectors are inside the car, away from dirt also... wires are welded together and I used heat shrink junk everywhere lol I made sure it will last.

and to think i had a hard time finding a place to mount my hid ballast ;] I could install hids in that car within 5 minutes.

yeah I know the holes are bad... I should go to Costco and get a bunch of plasters lol seriously I hope to fill those in when I put another engine in the car (in a couple of weeks).

That's great looking (aside from the holes..lol). I think white engine bays look especially good when the wires and everything are hidden and the holes are filled and smoothed. I think just because it's clean and bright and white...that's like the opposite of what a typical engine bay is when it's all dirty and cruddy.

to do it right i'm sure you know to weld up the holes then grind them. I didn.t have access to a welder back when i did mine so i used good ole JB Weld!

I've seen this done actually....after a good sanding and primer/paint, you wouldn't know the difference.
