Ok I just finished fixing my gigantic header leak, and put on a new bassani cat back system, the car drives great sounds great, has great power... This morning I jump in the car for work, driving fine, I start hearing a tapping? This is right next to my shop so I just coast it in, get out leaving the car idle it's deffinatly tapping, pop the hood and it's tapping on the drivers side valve cover pretty good, I turn the car off immediatly. Check the oil, it seems clean still, but it has a hue of metal flake, I know most of the time there is a small amount when you look at oil in the sun, and i'm not too concerned with this. I have about 5k miles since reinstalling the heads cam and rockers, And I have yet to readjust the rockers, So i'm hoping it's just a slipped rocker and the tapping i'm hearing is the pushrod??? Any other ideas, I'll be pulling the cover when I get home.

Comp cams hardened pushrods, didnt readjust my rockers yet, I checked all the cars here, oil looks like the stangs, thats why i'm not concerned. Yes AFR stud mount, I did change the stud retainer's to the AFR studs, I have heard they are crap. This may also be the problem.

My California Dude type friend

You're supposed to put SOME of that stuff together where .......

Things don't touch

btw ... I got an opportunity to walk around your beach one evening

True ... It wasn't Texas
but
It didn't suck either

A really nice place IMHO
Lots of cool older cars cruisin up and down the beach
and
Some good lookin distractions with ....... softer bodies too

Well see grady this is what happened, I let someone else set up my valve train, They didnt tighten the locking nut down on the rockers so it was only a matter of time before they started to come loose, I will never let anyone touch my car again... I have had to redo sooooo many things it's rediculous. Yes the soft bodies are very nice here, you should see my g/f's
