Im looking to buy a Jeep Wrangler YJ with a trashed motor but a rust free body and drop a 5.0 Mustang motor in it. I like Wranglers, especially the YJs but I dont like 4 or 6 cylinders. I think that a raised up 5.0 powered Wrangler would be pretty sick. Give me some input.

I was also considering a 350, but I dont know if I'm going to build the Wrangler for offroad use. Which motor do you guys think would be better, a 5.0 or a 350?

Ive personally seen an 80's model wrangler with a 305 in it, i asked the dude why he went that route, and he said that parts for 305's and 350's were about limitless.

I would like to see a ford motor in a jeep though, that would be neat. It youre going bang for the buck, a chevy (down here at least) would be cheaper to build. And i believe they make swap kits specific for it to make it straight forward.

Ill bet you that a V-TEC wit naws could almost turn 33inch tires. But I also think that the motor would blow up. Now I really cant decide wether to put a 5.0 or a 350 in it now. What do you guys think?
