Just received a pair QA1 c/c plates for a 94-95. First of all they must be made by steeda, box has a steeda sticker and instructions are steeda. Anyways the spherical bearing seams to be seized on both of the plates. Are they suppose to be very tight? Or did I get a bad set?

thanks any help

It's been 8 years since I installed the Steedas on my '90 LX, but I recall that the bearing was virtually immovable by hand. Can you move it even a little by sticking a big screwdriver or some other rod/shaft in there? I haven't had any problem with mine in all those years, even though it didn't seem inclined to move off the car. I think the amount of movement it needs on the car is negligible, and the weight of the car is plenty to cause the movement it needs. You're probably OK. Remember that the stock upper bearing has no real movement built in at all. And I thought the Steedas seemed well made. At least mine have gone the distance.
