Hi, I'm George Smullen from Waupun, Wisconsin, age 74. It's a ridiculous age for a young man. I started bracket racing at the Wisconsin International Raceway at Kaukauna the year I turned 68 and I enjoy it immensely.
Last year, I bought an '89 LX hatchback with a 302 and Paxton super charger. I did 14's all summer and ended up thirteenth in points out of 83 drivers. Not bad for an old fart.
However, this year I decided to order a Dart 347 Stroker short block with Twisted Wedge heads and a Ford motorsports 303 camshaft. I'm presently waiting for the block. I joined this group because I was advised to do so by some Mustang owners.
Because I'm a retired English teacher and a gear head in training, I'll most likely need help with getting that 347 going the way it should.
