Put on the following new parts:

- Tokico shocks and struts
- Steed Upper and Lower Control Arms
- Steeda Spings
- New Isolators

The rear of the car never really looked like it lowered much, plus the passenger side was sitting about 1 inch higher. I took out the isolators and it dropped the car about 3/4 of an inch and now the car only sits about .25 inches higher on the passenger side. I also put the car on jack stands and released the upper and lower control arm bolts, thinking the new control arms were bound up. The car still sits .25 inches higher on the passenger side. It is driving me nuts!!

The car has 218k miles on it and also never had sub frames on it until a few weeks ago. Is it possible that the car is twisted?

Any Ideas on what could be the issue??

Thanks!

There was a thread on the Corral.net site probably 15 pages long..the "tilt" on the rear drivers side is VERY common. Several have attempted to correct it with almost no success, with the use of shims, new components...etc. The answer was some cars do it more than others and the degree of lean is all over the place for each person. For me personally I have replaced ALL the suspension, bushings, isolators front to back (due to mileage and upgrade..not the lean) and still I carry a 1/4" lean on the rear drivers side..no one notices but me, but I notice because I'm anal like that. Hope this helps.
Edit: I should mention I have had my frame checked and all was well..I just can't correct it, so I now accept it..:)

Thanks,

The springs are installed correctly. I put a level on the car, the front, back and roof are all level.

My buddy had a vert that's lowered, he has the same issue on his car but in the front. His car is also level. Who knows??

I was thinking that maybe the spring on that side is a little bit off? something like a manufactures defect??

When you say that it's unlevel, is this by sight or is one side of the bumper closer to the ground that its opposite? The reason I ask is because for the longest time, I thought mine was sitting lower on one side. I measured from the rear sub-frames to the ground and was pretty confused when the measurements were almost exactly the same. It turned out that the gas tank shroud was sagging on one side making it look that way. Ended up pulling it, shimming the other side of the tank then bolting the straps back up.

I have taken measurments from the ground to the top of the fender and the distance between the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender. You can also tell just by looking at it.
