New Thermostat Housing

Yeah. mine doesn't leak... warp??? Why would it do that? because people over tighten everything like "King Kong" that's why. actually the housing is better then the factory one bend is smooth and neck part is bigger. I have had NO problems so far. I think it's been like almost 2 years. Still blining. No leaks. Try it out.

Um my fox valve covers are aluminum and they are chorme....it came from ford racing that way...

May be the thermostat housing i have is steel...I thought it was aluminum. Sorry but It doens't leak or warp...

Let me rephrase that...aluminum takes a special process before it can be chromed, that's why the Ford VC's are a lot of $$. Many of us have had those FMS waternecks leak.. Mine did on the hwy at 9PM with my 7 and 8 yo daughters in the car Im into bling as much as anyone but not to sacrifice a good part.. SInce the one you listed is so inexpensive, It's worth it to buy just to check it out.

I vote to powdercoat the t-stat housing. I had my alt. cover coated in chrome powdercoat and it looks great and is super easy to keep clean. I am thinking about hitting my lower intake with a little black high temp paint and getting my stock housing coated either chrome or silver metalic to match the upper intake and acc. brackets.

The CSR one can be "turned" 360 degrees. It has an o ring and can be turned in any direction. It is Aluminum. My CSr waterpump had some scratches on it so I stripped the clear off and polised it up...really turned out nice...same with my throttle cable bracket.

I decided to go with the Mr Gasket since it has the threading on top for the sending unit. I got it today and it DOES look nicer and feel more solid than that old FMS one. Only thing is it was supposed to come with O rings, and it came with the gasket

Mine did came with gasket also too. the reason is o-ring is known for leaking they say so they replaced it with gasket. So it is not the same thing as FMS one right? I knew it. LOL.

Im not 100% positive that it's different..but it does feel stronger and sturdier. The WORST that can happe is it starts leaking and I change it...not like a head gasket or something...I like the threaded top too.

Hollywood has it and my local friend has it on his twin turbo....has only run it to get it going but it should be fine.

I always report parts that go bad! Mine is fine and it has been 2 years. and it has been on and off the intake about 4-5 times. No problem so far i think it's going to hold very long time.
